The future of the Russian tactician has come under intense scrutiny following Spartak’s poor Russian Premier League results.
Spartak Moscow head coach, Valery Karpin, has denied reports suggesting an exit from the Moscow-based club after a series of poor Russian Premier League performances.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 player assured the fans of extending their decent domestic run after their latest 2-0 win against Kuban Krasnodar.
The under-fire manager has come under pressure after a string of poor results. There’s little arguing that the Red-whites have made a terrible start to the third league round, having claimed 2 points in three league outings. However,
they have rectified the situation somewhat by claiming two wins in the last 3 meetings.
Last week’s win against Kuban may have delayed the proceedings but Karpin cannot escape a sack if Spartak lose another game during the round. Reports in Russia suggest that Leonid Fedun, the Myaso president, is lining up Yuri Krasnozhan
to replace Karpin at Luzhniki stadium.
So, Karpin has a difficult task ahead to win over the Myaso fans by guiding the Russian outfit to a UEFA Champions League place this season. Spartak need to retain the second-spot at the end of the ongoing season if they are to
play in the Champions League next season.
“I know the fans are disappointed with the results because they want to see this club fighting for league titles and trophies every other season. To qualify for a Champions League place, we should try to win all the remaining matches
of the campaign.
“The physical condition of the team is good at the moment but we need to be strong in terms of psychology.” The Intertoto Cup winner was quoted as saying.
With 6 league ties left to play, Spartak are at the third spot on the league table and trail the second-spot by a point.
Karpin went on to deny the reports suggesting Oleg Romantsev would take over at Luzhniki stadium till the end of the season. The 43-year-old Russian manager revealed that the former Dynamo Moscow coach is not ready to handle the
mounting pressure of the big http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.
