Valery Karpin has ruled out a move for Spartak Moscow’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Welliton-c36773 and reflected his thoughts on the transfer activity in the Russian Premier League.
Spartak Moscow head coach, Valery Karpin, has blasted the media for making up stories and linking the Myaso players away from the Luzhniki stadium in the ongoing winter transfer window.
Reports in media had earlier suggested that the White-Reds striker, Welliton, is set to leave the Moscow-based club.
But Karpin has denied such reports and accused the media of affecting the player’s concentration level. The Russian tactician denied selling the in-form Brazilian striker and assured the Spartachi fans of a decent finish come the
end of the campaign.
Welliton, who joined the Russian outfit from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Goiás-c39434 back in 2007, has been in good domestic form this season, having scored 7 goals in 18 league appearances.
“Manchester United failed to turn down a big offer for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629. But it is not always about the money, it’s about club’s will, moral, ethics and values.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-CF-c40864 player revealed that the Moscow-based club are not chasing any specific player and admitted that chances of the club entering the transfer market are rather slim.
“I do not think it's about economics. The winter transfer window usually involves purchases in the price range from 6 to 10 million Euros. Big money purchases can only be done in the summer because you can’t find a replacement
of a player down the middle of the season. A player with desired capabilities is very hard to find nowadays.” Karpin said
Speaking on the Rubin Kazan midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Noboa-c9105, Karpin admitted to interest in the Ecuadorian but revealed that the promising midfielder could cost a staggering 10 million Euros.
Karpin admitted that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emelec-c39003 player has a lot of potential, but at the same time, added that they cannot afford to sign him. He expressed his faith in the current composition and expected a good third league round.
As things stand, Spartak are at the fourth spot on the league table and trail the league leaders, Zenit St. Petersburg, by eight points.
