Valery Karpin wants Dynamo Moscow’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Kuranyi-c20736 to be banned for six games - RPL news
Spartak Moscow head coach, Valery Karpin, has appealed to the Russian Football Union for disqualification of the Dynamo Moscow striker, Kevin Kuranyi, following his poor tackle on the Myaso defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergei-Parshivlyuk-c32969, in the
latest Russian Premier League tie at Arena Khimki.
The Dinamiki striker was booked on the 41st minute mark after making a late challenge on the 22-year-old.
Spartak Moscow fans are also furious over the former Schalke player, whose horrendous tackle forced Parshivlyuk to leave the field for medical treatment, and have demanded justice from the higher authorities
Parshivlyuk has now joined the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Welliton-c36773, on the injury list, and Karpin is now left with limited choices for the
upcoming third round clash against Kuban Krasnodar.
Earlier in the season, Welliton had to serve a six match ban after making a similar tackle on CSKA Moscow goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Igor-Akinfeev-c16676. The Svinyi are of the opinion that RFU need to penalize the German national in a similar fashion.
Karpin pleaded with the RFU to apply a six-match sanction on the former Stuttgart player and said:
“Welliton was handed a ban just for the fact that the referee had limited his punishment to a yellow card during the game. As is the case with Kuranyi, he was also booked with a yellow card. The judgments of the committee have
been sometimes questionable against us, as it looks like someone really wanted to deprive our top scorer of participation for six games.”
Meanwhile, Kuranyi has pleaded his innocence in front of the RFU officials, revealing that it as an accident and admitted that he will accept any decision made by the committee.
“When I took the ball I did not see at my right side before making the tackle. It was an accident and I had no intentions to harm any player.” Kuranyi concluded.
Karpin admitted that the Svinyi have not been treated fairly in such cases over the years, urging the authorities to carefully monitor the incident this time around.
