Valiant looks sure to progress in Neptune Investment Management Stakes, Lordofthehouse favourite for Bond Tyres Stakes at York
Neptune Investment Management Stakes, an interesting 3yo handicap, seems to be an ideal chance for Valiant, who looked progressive on his debut at Newbury last month.
On good to soft, William Haggas’ charge did a fantastic job to grab the top place by a length’s distance in the Bet On Your Mobile At bluesq.com E B F Maiden Stakes (Div II).
The dashing colt is going to face almost same conditions at York and therefore, holds the best chance of winning the 1m2f88y event, taking place on Friday, June 15, 2012.
The class 2 event has attracted half a dozen runners and among Valiant’s rivals are: Beaufort Twelve, Ahzeemah, Eastern Destiny, Silver Blaze and Glittering Gold.
Beaufort Twelve seems to be the biggest threat to Valiant. The 3-year-old was terrible on his seasonal debut at Newmarket in April, but improved his work dramatically when sent at Goodwood last month. The William Jarvis-trained beat Silver Lime by a short
head’s distance to clinch the top place.
Eastern Destiny was also pretty impressive in her last two appearances. However, things are entirely different this time and she might struggle. The conditions are going to suit Valiant, who is expected to continue his good run and seize the first position
today.
Bond Tyres Stakes is another class 2 handicap at York. The 1-mile 6-furlong contest has attracted a dozen quality runners and their names are as follows:
Lordofthehouse, Qahriman, Local Hero, Hurricane Higgins, Deauville Flyer, Bridle Belle, Constant Contact, The Betchworth Kid, Merchant Of Dubai, Address Unknown, Persian Peril and Smokey Oakey.
Lordofthehouse has been performing brilliantly for the last two seasons. After finishing second at Thirsk last month, the 4-year-old changed his gears, sealing an emphatic win at Haydock in the beginning of this month.
Local Hero has been consistent over the past few months, but luck has not yet favoured him this season. He narrowly missed the gold medal in his last three outings.
With most of his opponents struggling to find the right equation, it looks a good situation for Lordofthehouse. William Haggas’ trainee is likely to grab an easy triumph. Good luck to all runners.
