Vallarta Palace - Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico?

My husband and I are going to Mexico in a few weeks. We are staying at the Vallarta Palace in Nuevo Vallarta. Has anyone stayed there? What should we know about the hotel and the area? Any suggestions on fun things to do? Anything else we should know before we go?

You may want to read the Banderas News website (http://www.banderasnews.com/index.htm) which provides information about the PV area.  You may want to take an afternoon/evening and walk the malecon (a sea wall that runs a few miles along the beach front of old Puerto Vallarata).  From the maleon, you can venture into the nearby restaurants and shops plus the countless beaches.  Have fun!!!

Vallarta palace is a nice hotel with great swimming pool and excellent service, everything is nice about it, nice choice.

You should take the booze cruise that leaves from nuevo vallarta to snorkel in los arcos and to las animas and quimixto and includes open bar and food.

also de canopy tour that leaves from nuevo vallarta and maybe some hourseback raiding.

alots of things to do in Nuevo vallarta.
