Valmina favourite for Premier Conservatory Roofs 12th Anniversary Handicap
Valmina has been rated as the favourite to win the Premier Conservatory Roofs 12th Anniversary Handicap at Bath in England on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The winner of the class-4 race will be given away a cash prize of £2,264.
The going will be good to soft in the 5 furlong 161 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 19:40 GMT. A total of 17 runners have lined up for action in the event and their names are as follows: Valmina, Seamus Shindig, Oh My Days, Jolly Ranch, Cheers,
Colourbearer, Going French, Diamond Vine, Red Avalanche, Shes Rosie, Sole Danser, Madame Kintyre, Novabridge, Speak The Truth, Whipphound, Llewellyn and Superior Edge.
Looking at the experience of Valmina, the bookies believe that he will be able to walk away with a comfortable victory. His recent form is also good, which will encourage the punters to risk the maximum number of bets in his favour.
The five-year-old gelding has participated in 39 races in total, winning just four of them. Although his strike rate is on the lower side, he has managed to finish runner up on nine occasions whereas took the third spot once. This goes onto show that he
has the ability to fight at the front.
In his most recent run, the Tony Carroll’s trainee finished on top of the table by just a head distance. He was not given the best odds back then, but still surprised one and all with his excellent speed and stamina.
Valmina will be partnered by George Downing, who has not enjoyed a lot of success at this level, but has the potential to do so. He will need to make a solid impression in the race at Bath in order to attract more bets in the future.
On the other hand, Jolly Ranch might also manage to get the attention of the punters in the race, as she is a very good runner. She has entered 21 events until now, winning three of them and finishing runner up on the same number of times. Moreover, she
has also secured the third place on four occasions.
The six-year-old mare seems to be in decent shape at the moment, as she was victorious in her penultimate outing.
