Valtteri Bottas hopes for long career with Williams – Formula 1 news
Williams’ test driver, Valtteri Bottas has said that he is aiming for a long-term career with his team and is making the best of the efforts to secure a race seat for the next season.
Bottas has been the reserve driver of the British team since 2010 and has tested their car in many free Friday practice sessions. Moreover, he has successfully gathered some crucial information for making the necessary assessment of the updates made in the
car.
In addition, it will be important to mention that the Grove based team has been assessing the performance of the Finnish driver and has recently been very impressed with his pace in the Young Driver Test held at Silverstone Circuit.
Furthermore, the Finn said that he is very much delighted with his team and they are working very hard to make the essential developments so as to come up stronger in the season ahead.
“That would be ideal. I really enjoy working with these people and Frank is pushing hard,” Bottas said.
Besides, he admired the legacy of Williams and said that he is very much pleased with the performance of the team in the season until now and hopes to be there for longer period of time.
“It's a team with a great history and it's already my third year with team and I feel like it's home here so the ideal would be to stay here and I would hope for long career with Williams,” he said.
However, he said that money is playing an important to make an entry in the sport while he said that they are trying to get the desired sponsorship so as to make the required advancement for the approaching races.
“But the way sport is going now, for sure it helps if you have some financial backing and of course we are pushing for that because it's bonus for the team and it also makes your chances higher in driver market,” he added.
Over and above, it will be interesting to see that whether he will be able to race with Williams in the next season or not.
