Valtteri Bottas looks forward to perform well for Williams in 2013 – Formula 1 news
Williams reserve driver, Valtteri Bottas has been recently given a race seat in the team for the 2013 Formula 1 season in which he will drive as Pastor Maldonado’s teammate.
Bottas delivered an amazing performance in the Young Driver Test this year and also replaced Bruno Senna in many free practice sessions. Moreover, he has received a lot of appreciation over his tremendous driving skills and has been deemed as one of the
most talented drivers in the field.
On the other hand, Senna has not been able to come up to the expectations of his team as he has struggled in most of the races in this season and has failed to score competitive points. Furthermore, he has received immense criticism over his poor form.
Even though, Maldonado also faced difficulties in most of the grands prix, but he has scored one race victory for his team and has a strong sponsor. Therefore, he successfully secured his race seat for the coming year.
The Finnish driver has said that he has always dreamt of competing in F1 and is extremely happy that the British team has provided him with the chance to race for them in the next season.
Furthermore, he said that he has developed a very good relationship with all the members of the team during the last three years and is earnestly looking forward to perform well as a race driver in the next year.
Besides, he said that he is feeling very proud that he is going to start his career with one of the most celebrated teams in the history of the sport.
“It has always been my life-long dream to compete in the Formula One World Championship. To do so with one of the most legendary teams in the sport is incredibly special. I've really enjoyed my three years with Williams so far and feel very at home here
so my goal was always to stay for 2013 and progress to a race seat. I'm looking forward to getting my Formula One career started and enjoying a lot of success with Williams,” he said.
