Valtteri Bottas thinks Williams are moving in right direction – Formula 1 news
Williams’ driver Valtteri Bottas has said that they are moving in the right direction despite being unable to score even a single point in the 2013 Formula 1 season until now.
Bottas said that they could have scored some good points in the German Grand Prix if they hadn’t faced the problems in the pits. Nevertheless, he expressed that they are working very hard to keep on making the necessary developments in their car so as to come up stronger in the season ahead, compete well with their rivals and to secure a reasonable position in this year’s championship fight.
“The team were very close to securing a double points' finish in Germany and the hard work everyone is putting in is moving us in the right direction,” he stated.
Valtteri Bottas added that he is positively looking forward to perform well in the Hungarian GP which is to be held at Hungaroring this weekend. He also stated that he is expecting a lot of support from his Finnish fans in the forthcoming race and is eying to come up to their expectations as well.
“There is normally a big Finnish contingent who fly over to Hungary for this race,” he added.
In addition, he said that he has raced at Hungaroring when was in Formula Renault and GP3. Furthermore, has stated that he has also had a drive of an F1 car there during the last season, therefore he is very well familiar with the track. He also said that the track of the approaching race is very demanding and provides very limited chances to overtake.
“I have raced at the Hungaroring in Formula Renault and GP3 and drove in FP1 last year and I always found this to be a very demanding track because there are very few places to overtake and the layout has a lot of corners in quick succession which gives you very few opportunities to rest,” he continued.
It will be exciting to see how the Finn performs in this weekend’s race and whether he will be able to score good points for his team or not.
