Why is it that people keep buying Merrill Lynch>?

  1. I don't know.  probably the same reason they keep buying C.


  2. They think that it's worth taking a chance with a small portion of their portfolio, because, if MER lives, it will probably go up a lot.  They still have an army of retail brokers out there.
