Your question is almost impossible to answer. Much more information is needed, especially the grade (condition). A $250 gold coin, if it is real starts out at $250.00 and can go up over $1250.00. If it is authentic, anyone would pay at least $250.00 for it if the date is readable. Like anything else, it is worth what you can get for it. Put it on ebay and you will find out. It will sell.
