Value of Bassett 1963 Dining Room Set?

Include table with 6 chairs, china hutch, and a buffet.

Trying to sell. What is a good price to ask for?

Hi Courtney,

Bassett made very nice furniture in the early 60's.  The value unfortunately is only around $800 - $1,200.00 dollars.  It is not old enough to be considered an antique, and many people want to buy new when they are spending in the neighborhood of 2K.

So you could ask more, and then negotiate down if you don't have much interest after 2-4 weeks.

The key will be to get pictures and information in front of as many people as possible.

You might want to consider storing it if you have the room and don't need the money now.  It will go up in value within the next 15 to 20 years.  That's a long time, but if you have children, not so long for them.
