Value of a Side by side double barrel savage 311?

It is in good condition and it is a Savage a stevens model 311. would like some in for. I know my dad had it for atleast 20 years.

there were quite a few 311 model doubles made, and depending on the condition and model, your gun is worth between $400 in escellent condition to $250 in fair condition.

realistically, most of these guns sell for $200-$300 in normal conditions found. I have a j.stevens double and its still my favorite shotgun. its also been in my family since the 1950s.

they are great hunting grade shotguns.

Mine is a 1952 in good condition with almost no bluing left but a nice full patina and very good wood I have been offered $250 for it

It's a wonderful shotgun, but not one you'd ever confuse with an English "best." Most run around $300, but you'll want to check the particulars against some of the usual websites, at least. It's also a fine introduction, especially at the price, to the world of SxS's.
