  1. To find foreign stamp values, consult the Scott Stamp Catalog(s) at your local library.  Take your stamp with you so if you find it you can compare.

  2. Deuthches Reich = German Empire or n**i Germany

5 Heiler = empirial German period pre n**i

Blue shows it is a 5 H stamp, later this would become a 5pf stamp.  It could be worth quite a bit if in good condition.  try not to handle it with you hands. keep it protected, look in a phone book and take it to a stamp dealer, they can ID it in just a min or two, and tell you the current market value and if they are interested in it. Many stamps were made in this period adn most are very common so don't get your hopes to high, but just to be sure, take care of it until you chek. Look at www.stamps.org for more on collecting it is the web site for the US collecting HQ.

  3. First, the mystery word is actually Deutschösterreich, meaning Austria.  (That gothic script is hard to read without practice.)  From your description I think you have what American collectors would call Austria Scott number 202, but the catalog describes its color as gray.  You can take a look at an example for sale at the left end of the photo in the first source below.  The catalog value for this is 20 cents, but it is unlikely anyone would offer you as much as catalog value for it.
