1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with 93000 miles..is it ok to use valvoline atf 4?

  1. I have the exact same truck as you and I changed tranny fluid and filter 2 weeks ago.  That is the same kind I used also.  It is a full synthetic fluid.  I have noticed a better shifting pattern - firmer shifts.  You will be fine using this.


  2. ATF 4 , also known as ATF+4 is equivalent to the 7176 fluid Chrysler recommends for their automatic transmissions..It should say on the back of the bottle what it is equivalent to, or approved for use in.
