The midfielder’s agent insists that the player is happy in Milan, but remains in dark about the club’s plan for his future as his contract nears expiration.
Mark Van Bommel’s agent has revealed that his client is oblivious to the Rossoneri’s plans for his future, and insists that his stay at the club depends upon his negotiations with the Rossoneri.
The midfielder is one of the ten players in AC Milan squad, whose contract with the club is set to expire at the end of the season.
The agent to the Dutchman stated that the player is happy to stay put at Milan, but his contract with the club is running out. The representative insisted that the new contract remains pending with the authorities, and will be decided at the end of the ongoing
season.
The representative went on to state that the player will leave the club if it becomes clear that he has no value to offer to the team, but insisted that he has received no clues to his future position at Milanello.
While talking to the press, Mino Raiola said:
“He’s happy in Milan, but he has no deal with the outfit for next season. We’ll discuss the matter at the end of the campaign. If he becomes aware that he can’t give a positive contribution to the team then he will decide to leave, but Milan, for now, haven’t
told us about their future plans.”
The representative went on to say that the situation holds no desperation for the player, and insisted that negotiations with the club will decide if club is serious about the player, and if the club is serious about the player.
“If Milan want him to stay and he wants to remain then there will be no problems. Otherwise, he’ll go having had a beautiful 18 months at the club.”
The Dutch national was acquired by AC Milan from Bayern Munich on a free transfer, and signed a one-year extension with the club in May 2011.
