Bayern Munich central defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Van-Buyten-c10095 has announced that he is honoured to play for Bayern Munich and is hoping to get more action on the field in the upcoming fixtures. The defender is contracted at the Allianz Arena
until the end of the 2012-13 season and has been used as a reserve player in the last few years.
The Belgian footballer played his first game since the start of the current campaign. He made a substitute appearance as he came on for team-mate Jerome Boateng during his side’s 2-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
The stopper made a return after spending a couple of months on the treatment table, and was happy to regain full fitness to boost his chances of featuring again for Der FCB. He further added that he takes pride in every minute
he plays for the Reds.
"I'm delighted every time I run out as a Bayern player. It's an honour for me," Van Buyten was quoted as saying in an interview.
The centre-back commented that he has the desire to play in all games, and is aware of a difficult schedule ahead until the mid-season break. Therefore, he is expecting to be deployed in the team more often. However, he claimed
that he always behave in a professional manner regarding his status in the side.

"You have to maintain a positive attitude. You only earn success with hard work," the 2012 UEFA Champions League runner-up finally concluded.
Van Buyten suggested that maximum efforts are needed if you want to achieve something. The central defender has played 134 league games for Die Roten since signing for them in the summer of 2006 from Hamburg.
