Anderlecht’s CEO, Herman Van Holsbeeck, reckons that CSKA Moscow are among various other clubs who have shown interest in Matias Suarez
Anderlecht’s CEO, Herman Van Holsbeeck, has insisted that though CSKA Moscow are leading the race to sign Matias Suarez during the summer transfer window, they are yet to reach an agreement with the Russian outfit regarding the
24-year-old’s transfer.
The CEO, meanwhile, has insisted that the Armeytsy are not the only club to register their interest in signing their prized asset, and they are considering several other proposals at the moment.
“Several clubs are interested to sign Suarez, among them are CSKA. But while we are far from reaching agreement, negotiations are continuing.” Holsbeek was quoted as saying.
In case of successful completion of negotiations, Anderlecht are expected to earn 15 million Euros from the sale of the Argentine forward, who scored 20 goals in 45 league appearances last term.
However, some sources say that the Purple and White will only receive nine million Euros upfront out of the total transfer fee and the rest of the money will be transferred to his agent.
The Koni tried to sign the prolific striker during the winter transfer window after the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Flamengo-c39361. However, their initial bid was rejected by the Belgian outfit at that time.
Holsbeeck rejected the bid, telling that Suarez wants to stay at Anderlecht until next summer, and they will only let their prized asset leave if they get a lucrative offer that satisfies both, the club and the player.
“We have received a 12 million Euros offer from a Russian club, which I will not name. But Matias prefers to act in a stronger European Championship.” The CEO had said.
However, it now looks like Suarez, who rejected the chance to move to the Russian Premier League earlier this year, has changed his mind after the Russian outfit qualified for the UEFA Europa League last season.
The Argentine star, meanwhile, has become surplus to requirements at Constant Vanden Stock Stadium after John van den Brom signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Milan-Jovanovic-c25793 and Dieudonne Mbokani, last year.
