Dutch forward, Ruud van Nistlerooy, is of the opinion that the English squad has what it takes to win the EURO 2012 in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032.
The former Manchester United striker stated that even though http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello’s resignation may prove to be a disadvantage for the English team, they can still be considered contenders to win the prestigious award.
Fabio Capello resigned from his post this past Wednesday after a row with the Football Association. The argument occurred after the FA passed the decision to remove http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 as captain of the Three Lions.

Although the case has not reached a verdict yet, Terry was stripped of the captaincy as he was still under accusations and was not proved innocent.

Van Nistlerooy has believes that services of the Italian mentor could have done the English team good, but still their chances are quite strong as they contend for the European tournament in summer.
While talking to Goal.com, the forward quoted:
"I know English football well and I am sure there will be a commotion there because to leave the national team with just over three months to the European Championships is a very serious issue.

I do not know the motives but it must have been something big for Fabio to have left the post. This won't be just a small difference with the Federation.

This is not good news for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 ahead of the Euros. Now a new coach will come in, with new ideas and perhaps new players in the team. In any case, England are one of the candidates to win the Euros because of their history and their quality."
Ruud van Nistlerooy played under Fabio Capello at Real Madrid and won a La Liga title with the Italian mentor.
