Arsenal’s captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 has gone on to explain just why he went to visit the Barcelona hotel, while ruling out the possibility of a transfer to the club.

Van Persie was spotted visiting this hotel and a number of rumours started to spread, which claimed the striker was going to be joining the Catalan club.
However, the Dutch international has now gone on to reveal what really happened and just why he went on to visit the hotel.
The Dutch international, when explaining his actions is quoted to have said: “The explanation is really very simple. My very good friend http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ibrahim-Afellay-c16547 plays for Barcelona.”
“After a bad long-term injury he was finally back with the team - and during his absence I had been in contact with him a lot, but I hadn’t seen him. This was an opportunity for me to go and visit a close friend, show him my support and catch up."
“Unfortunately this had to be at the hotel, because he was not permitted to leave it. I was wearing my http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 tracksuit and we sat down by the reception to have a chat and some food - everyone could see us and there was nothing to hide. I can’t imagine anyone conducting transfer negotiations in these circumstances!”
The striker has not yet gone on to reveal what he plans on doing in the future. At the same time, he has insisted that he will decide what the future holds for him, once the current Premier League season comes to an end.
The forward has been linked with a number of clubs over the last couple of months and with him constantly delaying his contract talks, a lot of people have started to question his future at the club.
Nonetheless, it is going to be a wait till the end of the season to see just what the player decides to do.
