Chamberlain made the move to the Emirates at the start of the season, for a fee of around twelve million pounds.
This fee was initially believed to be far too high for a youngster from Southampton, but based on the performances that the forward has been producing this season, just about everyone has taken note of the youngster and his natural ability.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 under – 21 international was in prime form in the second leg against AC Milan and many believe that he was the pivotal figure in the Gunners team, that helped them go on and pick up a three goals to nil win over their Italian opponents.
Based on how well he has been performing at such a young age, many have gone on to compare the attacker to a young Wayne Rooney.
Van Persie is now the latest person to do so and when talking about the similarities between the two, the Dutch international is quoted to have said: “Alex can have a big impact. He has everything you need, I'm sure he has a bright future for Arsenal and
England.”
"He's shown that already in a couple of games. He has pace, he is clever, knows when to pass, when to keep the ball and has good technique.”
“He's a bit like Rooney, who I rate highly. Rooney's a big player and a good all-rounder who can score goals, provide assists and make nice runs — he has a bit of everything.”
"And although Alex plays on the left or right — whereas Rooney plays more through the middle — that could change in the future. They are both good all-round players."
Chamberlain still has a couple of weeks to go before he ensures a spot for himself in the England squad for the Euro 2012. However, given the level of performances that he has been displaying, the attacker is more than likely to be included in the final
squad.
It is now going to be interesting to see whether the attacker lives up to his expectations, or starts to falter under all the pressure.
