Van Persie has been the Gunners captain since the start of the current season and it seems like being appointed as captain has helped the player really go on and develop his game.
However, despite being the captain of the side and being honoured to take up the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, the Dutch international has gone on to insist that a team like Arsenal don’t really need a captain, since they have so many leaders in the team, who help guide the club
forward.
The striker is talking about the international superstars in the team, who have all been captains at one point or another, considering how they have managed to introduce a sense of maturity into the team.

"I don't think it changed me a lot in the way I am because I believe you should always stay the same"
"I think the only thing that has changed for me is that it has been made official.”
"Before that I was always helping people out where I could because we all help each other out, it's not only me. This is the way our club is.”
He then admitted that some of the team’s behaviour and actions may have started from his influence, but in the end, everyone needs to look after themselves in order to get better.
"I do realise that some stuff starts with me but that counts for every single person for themselves as well.”
"Good behaviour starts from yourself. If you expect that from other people, you should start by yourself and be helpful to everyone else. “
It is now up to Van Persie to maintain his focus and stance at the club, as he hopes to help the team end the season on a high.
With the Gunners sitting in the third spot in the league table, it is safe to assume that the team is going to end the current campaign with a top four finish.
