Van Rooney expected to win www.Mosscontrol.ie Handicap
Van Rooney is tipped to prevail in the www.Mosscontrol.ie Handicap at Killarney in Ireland on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. He is a skilful runner and has a great chance of winning a cash prize of €7,245 in the end. However, things will not be easy for him,
as he will be up against 11 other participants, who have been trained well to shine at this level.
The going has been described as yielding in the 1 mile 100 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 15:20 GMT. Although, the weather in Ireland has not been good for racing over the past few weeks, yet conditions have improved to a great extent at this
venue within a few days.
This will be a positive sign for all the participants and hopefully, the spectators will witness an exciting contest of horseracing at the end of the day.
Looking at the performances of all the contestants, one thing is pretty much clear that no one has got any major advantages over the other. This will make the situation quite interesting, but the punters will not like it at all, as they will be the ones
risking their money by placing bets on different runners.
The bookmakers have given the best odds to Ocean Drift, despite the fact that he is not a consistent performer. He has appeared in five races until now, but managed to win just once whereas finished as a runner up on the same number of times. He appeared
in just one event this year, but was unable to make a strong impression in it.
This will definitely discourage the punters from placing bets in favour of Ocean Drift, who will not find things easy at all, especially against someone like Van Rooney, who has got a pretty decent record.
The three-year-old colt has participated in six events until now, winning one of them whereas finished runner up on the same number of times. In addition to that, he has secured the third spot on a couple of times as well, which shows what he is capable
of achieving.
The T. Stack’s trainee will be partnered by young jockey, Wayne Lordan, who has accompanied him in the past too.
