Van der Gouw has praised http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexander-Büttner-c4818, Manchester United’s latest transfer window acquisition from Vitesse Arnhem on a five year contract and has admitted that new left back won’t leave the fans disappointed...
Van der Gouw has come out and made it clear that Buttner has the capacity to impress at Old Trafford as Manchester United recently signed the young Dutch left back from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitesse-c40905 Arnhem. The new defender had been a source of speculation
all summer long but now Sir Alex Ferguson has finally wrapped up the deal which has brought the Dutchman to United for the next five years as a part of his contract.
Van der Gouw has hailed his compatriot especially as Buttner might be next in line to take over from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 as the Frenchman’s form has been deteriorating consistently since the past three seasons. The season before last
when United reached the final of the UEFA Champions League, the Red Devils failed to win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and a lot of blame was put on the shoulders of Evra who was constantly caught out of position.
Not only that, Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 has been busy on other fronts in the transfer window as well. Robin Van Persie’s arrival has given Manchester United’s offensive department, a well required edge and Kagawa’s displays in midfield have already
added a creative spark to that part of the squad.
However United’s defence still remains relatively weak with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Smalling. Buttner’s arrival will certainly give Ferguson a few options for the left back berth where
he has had to play Patrice Evra more often than not.
Van der Gouw said, "If he can play plenty of games then people will love him because he gives absolutely everything. Don't worry about that; he'll never let you down. He's scored a few goals but that's because he started out as
a left midfielder.”
He added, "He still likes to go forward and try to score. He has a powerful kick, a very good left foot and he puts in some good crosses, too. He has a lot of energy and he's good for team spirit. He's so excited about joining
United. Having got the chance, he really wants to go for it.”
