Van der Vaart rejoined the German club in the summer transfer window following his stints with Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur. He spoke from his experience, and advised the frontman that he should stay at the club for some time
and then seek a different venture.

Van der Vaart stated that Son has the confidence of the manager and staff here and gets to start every game for the club. He also said that if he moves to a big European side, then he will have to make his first-team place and
that can fire back negatively.
