The Dutch star player is disappointed after not being selected for the national team for the coming 2014 World Cup qualifiers, and chose not to say anything on the issue.

The Rothosen outfit's new signing was left out from the Dutch team announced recently. Van Gaal did not select him because he believes the player is not match fit and is not completely focused on football, as he switched to the
German club from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
On the other hand, the midfielder suggested that he is physically fit and was looking forward to join the team for the clash with Turkey. Therefore, he is not pleased with him not being called up for the crucial qualifiers.
"I am fully match fit and really wanted to be part of the team for the match against Turkey. It's very disappointing that I was excluded from the squad," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Moreover, the 29-year-old said that there are other important things as well other than the game itself. He decided not to discuss the matter any further and remained tight lipped.
"I think that there's always something happening in the life of a footballer. I don't want to say too much on the matter, though,” he mused.
Furthermore, the highly-rated former player claimed he wants to reclaim his top form for the new season. He is looking to have a good time in the Bundesliga and would not like to comment on his future.
"I just want to make an impact at Hamburg, have fun again and we will then see what happens," the former Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder concluded.
The national team will play in Netherlands against Turkey on Friday in their opening World Cup campaign. They will try to forget their disappointing European Championships 2012 after exiting the competition in the group stages.
