While talking to reporters, the former Ajax player stated that PSG are a great club. The club has started a great project and they are destined for greatness.
Van der Wiel added that the main reason behind his move to Paris was the ambitions of the club, and he sees himself winning titles here.

The Dutchman feels honoured to be a part of the cash-laden club from Paris. The 24-year-old said that everyone in the footballing world is now familiar with Paris Saint-Germain and he has made the right decision by moving to Parc des Prices.

"For me, it is an honour to join Paris today. The club now has an international standing, there are lots of great players in the squad.”
While talking about the PSG project, the Dutch full-back stated that it’s really amazing to be a part of this great project and it’s a great opportunity for him to improve his individual game.
“The project that is being built here is very interesting and it is a great opportunity for me," the 24-year-old told reporters.
Van der Wiel believes that he is at the right club and has every chance of winning titles with PSG, both at domestic and European level.
