Vancouver Canucks head coach, Alain Vigneault on edge of coaching position after top-notch season
Vancouver Canucks head coach, Alain Vigneault, became the hottest coach last season as he led his team to their best ever National Hockey League (NHL) regular season record ever and also the best postseason performance the team could ever hope for in over
40 years. The only thing missing was the Stanley Cup championship, which has spread rumours about his job security, something which might be very shocking.
It is not every day that a coach leads his team to their best ever record and not only that but wins the Presidents’ Trophy, leads the league in stats, is named the best defensive and offensive team and nearly wins their first Stanley Cup championship in
history, but still, Vigneault could be in for a surprise.
Also being a Jack Adams Trophy finalist, Vigneault has truly set a standard for how a coach should be and what a team should be able to perform under such visionary guidance. In his situation, Vancouver has become the exact opposite as expectations from
the team and fans around the world have grown out of control and cannot be constantly met.
Coaching 20 players to such a level that they reach the top number spot in nearly all rankings imaginable, takes divine coaching to do the trick and that is a trait of Alain Vigneault that he truly has.
Up until now, Alain Vigneault, in his sixth straight seasons with Vancouver Canucks, will be tested to his maximum limits to see whether he can perform alongside his team and take them to the same level again or not. Not being able to do so will result not
only in extreme embarrassment but could very well lead to the confiscation of his position as the teams’ coach, a question on everyone’s mind at the moment.
Ending up like Chicago Blackhawks after winning the Stanley Cup is exceptional since they had already won the championship and could deserve losing, but when you have immense amount of talent on your team, it is hard to find the reason which is holding you
back from winning the most coveted championship in the hockey world.
