Vancouver Canucks is getting ready for the Conference Finals, eyeing to lift the Stanley Cup

Normally if you talk about Vancouver Canucks at this time of the season then you would say that they are relaxing at home. On the contrary, Canucks is in fact gearing up for the Conference Finals.
However, this time out matters are totally different as the team is preparing for the Conference Finals in which it is appearing for the first time in 17 years.
Canucks had a very tough time during the first and second round of the playoffs but the gap that has developed after the third has resulted in Canucks resting and getting mentally free before the Finals kick off.
The first round of the series saw Canucks go up against its playoff’s archrivals, Chicago Blackhawks.
Canucks won the first three games and it looked as if a clean sweep performance was on the way. However, Hawks won the next three games to level the series. The final game of the series also went into overtime but Canucks managed to score and win the series.
The tiring schedule saw Canucks playing Predators with only a day’s break. Canucks came out strong once again as they managed to get into a 3-1 lead. However, when Predators won the fifth game, there were questions raised as to whether or not Vancouver can
win or not. Fortunately, Canucks successfully sealed the series, 4-2, with a win in the sixth game of the series.
Canucks’ coach was glad at the fact that his team had some time off from ice as this would prepare them better for the Finals and increase their chances of winning.
"It's great", Vancouver’s coach, Alain Vigneault, said. "I think what we're going to do here, for today and tomorrow, we're going stay off the ice and then we're going to get back to practice Thursday, Friday and Saturday to get ready to play Sunday -- whoever
we play".
Sources say that Mikael Samuelsson and Henrik Sedin are both facing injuries at the moment with Samuelsson already missing the last two games.
Ryan Kesler was another one of the players who were said to be on the injury list but the player said he was alright.
"I feel fine … if we had to play (Game 7) tomorrow, I'd be fine to play, but I think going forward here (rest) is going to be important", said Ryan Kesler. "These next couple days are going to be important to re-charge the batteries and fuel things back
up to full”.
Vancouver Canucks won three out of four games against San Jose Sharks while it won two and lost two against Detroit Red Wings during the course of the regular season.
Regardless, Vancouver is not ready to take anything from history and says that it will begin from a new start no matter which team it faces in the Finals.
