One of the important games Wednesday was the Vancouver Canucks playing host to the Nashville Predators. The match took place at the Rogers Arena with both teams playing the 50th game of their respective season.
The match was evenly matched by both teams during the course of the first two periods. However, the final period saw the Canucks put the foot on the gas after Predators scored early in the period. Vancouver Canucks with the strong offence bombarded shots
on goal which in the end saw them winning the match 2-1. Roberto Luongo, goal keeper of the Vancouver Canucks was named the star selection of the match as he made 26 saves during the course of the match.
Vancouver Canucks were quick out of the blocks and keeping in mind their goal scoring abilities, their shots early on were expected to find the back of the net. However, this didn’t happen as Predators goal keeper was up to the mark and made saves early.
Nashville Predators got stronger as they were oozing with confidence while going on the offence. The defence also played its part restricting the Canucks to their half during the course of period. The Predators defence made life very difficult for the Canucks.

Canucks started to control the pace of the game.
However, there were no goals scored during the period and the scores were still deadlocked on 0-0. During the period, Vancouver Canucks made 14 goal attempts while Nashville Predators made 8 goal attempts.

a brilliant backhand shot.

to get into the lead.
