Vancouver Olympics 2010?

Question

Forgive me if this is a stupid question....My husband will be going to Vancouver for the Olympics due to his job. I will be going with him. I will need to likely book my own hotel room, and I would like to attend one or two of the events.

1.) Are hotels already booking/booked/full? When is it "too early" to book?

2.) When, where, and how do you get tickets?

3.) Are any event tickets still available, or when do they go on sale?

From the official website's FAQ (with links below):

"When will tickets be available for 2010?

"Tickets for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games will go on sale in October 2008. For more information – including pricing and methods of purchase – visit our ticketing section."

As for hotels, looks like that info is coming in the next few months as well:

"Accommodations

"VANOC, in association with the regional tourism associations and hotels, are in the early stages of an accommodation plan for spectators that will be traveling to Vancouver and Whistler for the 2010 Winter Games.  More information on spectator accommodation will be available in fall 2008. "
