  1. That could not happen.  What you  probably saw was a doctored photograph done for advertising purposes.

    EDIT:

Squeek, I plainly said it was a "doctored photograph" or can you not read?  DUHHH!

  2. I sometimes imagine launching a brightly colored, highly reflective satellite into orbit alongside super-secret spy satellites, not really doing anything except inviting attention in that direction. Maybe once in a while breaking into the telemetry to the ground station to say "nice place you have here."

  3. It was all part of the top secret blue gemini Project in 1965.  The US air force Secretly launched a gemini spacecraft with a spatially trained crew and a can of spray paint.  Their mission was to rendezvous with a soviet spy satellite and spray paint the phrase "Russia sux" on it.  The mission was a success.

  4. It must have been a metaphor for getting blasted (as into space) by their product!

  5. What are you actually asking here?? If it's the company that did it, then sorry I can't help you there. As for the 'vandalised' satellite, that would have been special effects, rather than actual graffiti on a satellite.

What would be the point of having an actual advert in space??!

  6.   Once it was in orbit no graffiti could have been written.

  7. You're referring to a dumb commercial, not something that actually happened.

    "I could be wrong'.

    Yes, you're wrong!

  8. I've read your question a couple of times and I still fail to see the actual question. What is it that you want to know? What company was advertised? Or whether the ad was really painted on the satellite?

In any case, a satellite with graffiti on it would have been done as computer graphics, not in real life. Chavs haven't reached that high, thankfully.

  9. Killroy was here lol
