After the check point has been triggered, which slows the pace down for a bit, slide your way up the stairs. You could just walk, but trust us, it is much cooler, not to mention more fun, to glide across the floor instead.
Take out the two foot soldiers and proceed up the stairs and to the right. Instead of joining in the main area of the battle, stick to the right side and pick off enemies one by one with the sniper rifle.
The sniper rifle is located at the end of the raised platform on the extreme right side, however, a word of caution here as the sniper rifle does have limited ammo so it is best to be patient and pick your shots wisely.
We recommend you take out the soldiers manning the giant robots and the mounted machine guns.
Another word of warning here, the enemy AI is smart and they will try and flank the player. So keep an eye out for any soldiers approaching from behind.
Once you’ve wiped out all the soldiers, move on forward and wait for the next wave of soldiers to teleport in. Taking them out is simple, so we recommend you get creative and have a good time while doing it.
After they have been taken care of, move up the ramp and get ready to take on a fresh wave of soldiers, including one fairly large and mean looking bot.
The best way to handle this particular situation is to throw a grenade, fall back and pick off the remaining foot soldiers as quickly as possible. If done correctly, it will mean that by the time the lumbering mech makes its way into the fight, it will be
all by its lonesome self and hence, much easier to take down.
Go for the head and do not let up. If you have any EMP emitters, throw one to disable it temporarily and it should give you a chance for a few clean shots to the head.
Once you have had your fun there, and trust us, it is fun, get familiar with the upper platform for which you have spent the past five minutes securing.
Get yourself positioned on one of the mounted machine guns and wait.
Take care of the enemy reinforcements as they land in drop ships and attempt to storm you.
TIP: You can easily destroy one drop ship before it even lands. Just aim and fire away at it till it blows up.
As for the second ship just wait for the bay doors to open and open a steady stream of bullets onto the ramp. It should take care of a majority, if not all of the R.I. aboard.
However, the mounted machine guns do have a limited amount of ammo, so aim steadily and shoot wisely.
Now that the easy part is over, it is time for the player’s first boss fight.
What you will be seeing crawling its way into the battle zone is the KNRB-0 Argus (Romanov) robot.
Do not be alarmed by its sheer size though as it is fairly easy to take down.
