After reading so many Yahoo answers i have not found a satisfying answer so I am going to ask my own question. I am going to Varadero, Cuba this September 7 and I am worried about the weather. Anybody have a solid idea of what the weather is like at that time. I understand it's hurricane season but nevertheless any ideas would be appreciated.

  1. This is around the time I usually travel to Cuba. I have never experienced any hurriances. The likelihood of that is extremely slim and rare...like you saw with Hurricane Fay, it basically passed over the island without turning into a hurricane. That is usually what happens in Cuba.

Even though it's considered rainy season, it doesn't rain that much. You may get a tropical shower that lasts a few minutes in the day ( and not everyday) which nicely cools things down for a little bit.

If there is rain, it usually occurs in the evenings while sleeping or may happen around dinner time off and on ... MAYBE....and then stops.

Your vacation will not be ruined and your activities will not be interfered with at all.

September is a beautiful time to go to Cuba. Don't worry about your booked vacation. The weather will be fine. You will enjoy it! Have fun!
