Hi ive been diagnosed with both a Varicocele+Epididymitis on my left t******e,i have noticed over the last 5 years that my sperm is really watery with a few but not to many tiny blobs of the creamy stuff (sorry for detail) sort of scattered about here and there, and also when i ejaculate it doesnt shoot out anymore like it used to do,sometimes the texture in my sperm changes and not much comes out but just like a really creamy thick jelly like substance comes out,im 100% sure that this is all down to my Varicocele and Epididymtis problem, also my left t******e is really painful when i touch it and i sometimes have pain in the left side of my groin that comes and goes.I told my doc all of this and he more or less told me im goin paranoid about it all and it really is nothin to worry about,he gave me a months worth of antibiotics which havent cleared my swollen t******e up,im 25 now and i really just want to know if im entitled to have some tests done such as a sperm test and maybe an operation to sort my problem out once an for all? i was diagnosed these things after an ultrasound and ive also read that a Varicocele can make a man infertile which im sure is happening to me,anyway guys is anyone any clearer on my rights about this or has anyone been through the same thing and what happened? cheers for reading this. kev

  1. As the problem isn't going away with treatment, I would insist on a hospital referral. It sounds like there is something still going on that needs attention. Your prostate adds the creamy stuff in the ejaculate not your testicles and that can vary with diet etc. Push for an appointment at the hospital, good luck mate.

  2. You should go to see a urologist, which is a Dr who specializes in the genital & urinary tract.  He will have more experience with this than a general practitioner.

I don't know about epididymitis, but varicocele is harmless, it just aches once in a while.

As far as your s***n, the fluids that make up its consistency are made mostly in your seminal vesicles and prostate, the sperm count doesn't really affect the consistency.  A lot of things can affect the consistency, like your diet and how long it's been since your last ejaculation.  It's completely normal to have variation in the consistency and texture of your s***n.
