Question:

Various types of metal washing, work related ?

I work for a company that manufactures metal containers made from various sorts of metals, stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.

These containers have to be washed before being shipped to the customer to remove grease, oils and debris, etc (interior and exterior) We are using a product called Brulin cleaner.

We are currently testing other sorts of cleaning products and I am wondering if you might have some ideas of stuff we could try.

FYI: we tried dish washer machine soap and found that it etches aluminum so that product can be ruled out.

Thanks so much for your help!

  1. When I was in the military we used Spray Nine for most all metal products. It wouldn't damage surfaces or leave a residue. Might be worth checking out.
