  1. Congratulations on making the varsity team and just being a freshman. :) If you really want to go to the beach so badly, then go but ask your coach like is there anything you want me to do like a training or a little warm-up of some sort while I'm at the beach. That will show that you do care and you can enjoy the beach. Like running up and down the beach or play beach volleyball because to me, I think beach volleyball is more harder than indoors because your reaction rate for beach volleyball has to be faster than indoors because there are a lot of factors in beach volleyball. Like when you jump up to spike the ball, your feet are going to be lifting up sand or diving for the ball etc...

  2. I think you should go to practice instead of the beach.

    I'm a freshamn, too.

I'm on my JV team and not many freshmen make varsity, like you said.

You don't want to pass up a chance like that.

Obviosuly you have a gift, don't give up on it.

  3. you made a commitment. freshmen in varsity is rare. i say stick with the team. you go to the beach every year. you'll be better off going next year as a sophomore varsity player, and giving your coach a heads up waaay ahead of time. this year tho, i think it'd be better staying behind.

  4. likely hood is if you dont go to practice you wont play, u committed  to play vball so keep ur comittment.

  5. I think your in a lose/lose situation.  Your going to miss out somewhere; whether with your family or with your volleyball team.

I think you should stay committed to your volleyball team.  Like you said, you are the only freshman. Think of how many other freshmen and other people tried out and didn't make it.  I don't think you should take that very lightly.

You are lucky to be on the team and should take every advantage of it.  Go to all of your practices and work hard and prove that you deserve to be there.

    Good luck with your decision.

  6. being the only freshman you already are an underdog. missing practice too will make it even worse and if you dont go you may not play as much and if you dont go and still do get to play your team will resent you. if you're not committed to your team then why do you want to be on it?
