Vasaline in your hair?

someone told me to put it in my hair.

but...

what does it do?

and does it make it greasy/weird feeling/weird looking.

does it do anything?

Don't do it. Vaseline is extremely greasy and is very difficult to wash out of the hair. It coats the hair shaft, and clogs the pores preventing your pores from "breathing", so to speak. Vaseline along with babyoil are the worst ingredients to apply to any hair type. Use coconut oil from the grocery store section at Food World or Wal-Mart. Coconut oil adds shine and softness to hair, and is actually healthy for your hair as well. It's a lighter oil so it wont be excessively greasy either.
