Vasek Pospisil ousts Dustin Brown in the first round – Erste Open 2012 
Ranked 113th in the South African Airways ATP World Rankings, Vasek Pospisil, secured the better of the German challenger, Dustin Brown in the final qualifier of the Erste Bank Open 2012. He penned down his three-setter
victory, 6-7(5), 6-0, 6-3 in nearly two hours at the hard courts of Vienna, Austria.
The duo encountered each other in the first round of the Aachen Challenger 2010. The top seeded, Brown, stamped his 7-6(6), 5-7, 6-4 triumph against his Canadian native, taking advantage of his home ground.
The 22-year-old, Pospisil, held his initial serve and stormed forward to attain his lead. However, he received a tough encounter from his challenger but kept battling desperately to secure his lead. The two rivals continuously
fought against one another and repeatedly oscillated the victory. The German displayed his superior game plan, nudging forward to mark a 7-6(5) after a close tie-breaker round.
The German senior fired five aces and posted an average initial serve precision of 64 percent. He took the lead by bagging home 19 of 25 first and eight of 14 second delivery point. He was  able to capitalize on just one of the
five breaks points. The Canadian junior followed the lead by snatching one of two serve breaks and fired three aces to his rival's court. Pospisil attained 56 percent first serve with 20 of 28 first and 10 of 22 second delivery points.
The 27-year-old, Brown, completely lost his passion to compete and unlike before did not provide his challenger with any resistance. He was unable to preserve his serve and Pospisil grabbed the opportunity and swiftly bagged away
all the games without facing any difficulty. He beautifully served and held his focus, giving no chance to his challenger to take the lead. He concluded his remarkable lead by a bagel.
In the decider, the winning order persisted and the right-hander Canadian cashed Brown’s first serve in the third game, confidently drew the first blood. Pospisil battled hard to sustain his lead and dusted away all the challenges
faced and maintained his poise. He pocketed away the last serve towards the end and terminated the set with a 6-3 win.
