Vasili Baskakov believes FC Tom Tomsk are facing problems in the Russian Premier League
Former FC Tom Tomsk assistant manager, Vasili Baskakov, has discussed the league position of Sibiryaki and admitted that the Russian club are going through a rough span of time.

Baskakov lamented the team performance after failing to win in their last five league meetings against Spartak Nalchik, CSKA Moscow, Anzhi Makhachkala, Terek Grozny and the Navozniki. Tomsk managed to get a win against Kuban Krasnodar back in June in the
current season.
The 48-year-old revealed that Tomsk are facing defensive problems and highlighted the absence of defenders Dmitri Smirnov and Đorđe Jokić, who are sidelined due to injuries.
“I think we completely failed because the last few days and two weeks, we are facing one problem after another. Our defenders are creating problems for them and the team: Jokić after injury with CSKA has not yet recovered and today on the eve of the game
Smirnov was suffering from fever. You have to attack in order to win. As for the coach, Valeri Nepomniachi is feeling fine and the doctors have decided to release him. We must move on.” The former FC Kuzbass Kemerovo player was quoted as saying.
The Russian national heaped praise on the Asian by revealing that the Tomsk defence was strong despite unavailability of senior first team members. Baskakov admitted that the White Greens displayed a laggard performance in the second half of the match at

The former Russian stopper insisted that Tomsk are considering options for their penalty taker, after they missed a golden opportunity to score from the penalty spot against Perm in the second half of the match. Baskakov believes that the team needs a bit
of confidence in order to claim three points in their upcoming league encounter against Samara Krylia Sovetov away from home.
