Vauxhall astra raidio buttons on steering wheel!!?

my car got broke into and the thief made a rite mess of the radion iv put in a kenwood cd player but the volume and skip paddles on the steering wheel do not work now is there anyway to get them to work?

  1. he has bent the wheel of shaft causing the copper slides/connecting carbon rods not to match up....not really a diy job.


  2. The saturn astra requires an interface for the external buttons. The radio has to support it too....

  3. With the aftermarket CD/MP3 Players for cars, I dont think you can get the paddles to work in sync with the cd player, because they were designed for the Vauxhall one.  As with the heads-up disply, you may/ may not have noticed that it doesnt show was radio station is on etc.

  5. Depending on the model of radio you got you can get adapters that allow those controlls to work.  If you just got a cheap stereo then you probably wont be able to use them.  

  6. You need a pioneer car radio fitter or the equivalent fitting shop,your instrument is not matching in.
