  1. it may be ok for now and may last u a whiile if u look after it well,, is it chain or belt ridden??? either way if it hasnt just had a new belt/chain you will probably be needing one at some time soon as they say it will need a new one between 90 and 100k

  2. If its a 3 cylinder one then it will not have any life left in it. Im not sure the 3 cylinder engine was out at that time but! I have owned a 1.2 four cylinder one and it was fine i drove it from 30 - 70k with no problems, its all down to how it has been looked after. Its not going to be any better or worse than any other £500 car! You do get what you pay for!

  3. If its a 1200 petrol it will be four cylinders and if looked after will be good for 200,000 miles, the only three cylinder is the diesel which is also good for over 200,000. Don't bother if its 1ltr engine, hits done all its going too.

  4. Well maintained, it should be fine; badly maintained, it could be knackered - have someone that knows about cars look over it for you.

Vauxhall used a 3 cylinder 1 litre petrol engine, not just a diesel, it's just basically 3/4 of a 4 cylinder, and is a very economical & reliable 1 litre Suzuki unit - usually badged 'Breeze'.
