Vauxhall vectra 2.0 dti 16v 1999 diesel fuel pump failure.Where i can get a good cheap replacement?

The car used to run perfectly until it just didnt start onr morning and called out the AA, the bloke hooked it up to a computer and it said fuel pump failure so i need a replcement pump no.0470504004.i dont know much about cars so i would like to find out if it means the whole pump is gone or can it be the E.C.unit that needs changing or the fuel lines that need checking.Anyone with some knowledge on this matter please help.

Thye scrap yard - a brand new high pressure pump will cost about what the car is worth.

the scrap yard,,,,thy do them off the self now,,
