Vax carpet shampooer wont release shampoo

Question

Hi, My Vax Rapide carpet shampooer wont release the shampoo/fluid when i use the trigger on the handle. I've made sure its all clean, but the belt has just gone as well......is the shampoo not releasing a seperate problem to the belt going? The problem did seem to start before the belt went.Have you any suggestions to try fix the release of the shampoo or is this terminal?
