Vaxhall corsa R reg, 1.2 and motorway?

i feel like i loose the control over my car when i drive over 50 or 60 miles. any idea why. i have checked the wheel balance and its ok.

  1. Firstly, check your tyre pressures.  One tyre with lower pressure will pull the car to that side.

    If tyre pressures are OK then have the steering geometry checked at a garage.

    You shouldn't have any probs if these are OK.  I've had my wife's Yaris, 1litre, up to 80 with no bother.


  2. 50 or 60 miles distance, or 50 or 60 miles per hour speed?

  3. If you mean 50 or 60 MPH then have the tracking checked (the alignment of the front wheels)

  4. You can get a 1.2 Corsa up to 50 or 60?  Blimey!

  5. "Losing control" is a bit vague, but it could be badly inflated tyres, worn steering, bad tracking, or even bad shock absorbers.

    It could also be the nut on the steering.
