  1. you should have a good chance of making the team if it's only seventh grade. and try serving and passing and setting against yyuour garage door

  2. Just train as much as possible. Get ur muscles loaded. Train ur calf, arm and finger muscles.

Grab a partner and practice bumps, spikes, blocks, sets, and maybe even digs. Good Luck! Hope it works.

  3. PRACTICE AND STRATEGIES

  4. I am a varsity player for my school and my coach always told us when we were your age that the two most important skills in volleyball is serving and passing. Concentrate on perfecting those first, then move towards the harder skills like setting and spiking. If you are a good passer and server, I guarantee you will get playing time  ; )

  5. Work on your serves and passing they are the most important things choaches look a t besides good attitude and stuff like that because good servers are always stand out and good passer are want to pass, set , hit.....

  6. I have several tips to help you.  One way to strengthen your quads (main muscle used in passing) is to do wall sits.  Back up to a wall and pretend there is a chair under you and you'll feel your quads burning a bit and do it for as long as you can and repeat.  Remember that when you pass don't swing your arms, let your legs do the work.  A tip to keep in your mind is, when you drop a ball on the floor, does the floor move to make the ball bounce up? NO! So, let your arms be the floor and with the upward motion of your legs, your pass will be perfect every time. I have played the sport for 18 years and have refereed 6 and coached for 2 so, I welcome all questions.

  7. Practice your serves and spikes.  They look for power players, be aggressive.  Work alone with the volleyball, bumping and setting to yourself.  Pick a spot on the wall and see how many times you can hit it consecutively. Finger tip push ups, lots of sit-ups help too.  A strong middle core gives you more power.

  8. Okay, I tried out for 7th grade volleyball and, I made the A team so these stratigies should help. One of them was to WORK YOUR TOTAL HARDESET because, if the couches see that you're couchable then you libal to make one team. Another one was to CONCENTRATE, because if you're goofing off during tryouts then the couches will think that you're going to goof off during games and practices so then they won't put u on a team. Well, BeSt oF LuCk!
