Pls answer...'Two horizontal forces act at the same point on a body. One force of magnitude 10 N acts towards the east. The second force of magnitude 10 N acts at north 50 degree east. Determine the resultant of the two forces by ,

  1. first draw the forces acting on a single point and mark the angles...

    east is positive = +10 N

    north is also positive = +

    solving horizontaly the angle to the horizontal of the second force is 40 degrees.

    force 1 = 10 N

    force 2 = 10 N x cos 40

    Resultant force = 10 + (10 x cos 40)


  2. resultant^2= 10^2+10^2+2x10x10cos 50

    calculate and find out.

    parallelogram law is used.
