Vedfield Solid likely to dominate proceedings in 2nd June Standard
Vedfield Solid is likely to dominate proceedings in the 2nd June Standard at Coventry in England on Thursday, June 14, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will walk away with a cash prize of £200.
The action is scheduled to start at 20:45 GMT and a total of six quality hounds will be seen in action. Their names are as follows: Vedfield Solid, Silverview Pinky, All Wonders, Hernandez, Afan Hawk and Ardmayle Player.
Most of the runners have struggled to perform with consistency, which has given a solid chance to Vedfield Solid in the race at Coventry. He is in excellent form, thus the bookies have awarded him with the best odds and the punters are also likely
to risk the maximum number of bets on him.
The C. Allsopp’s trainee has won three back to back races, which shows the kind of rhythm he is in at the moment. Two of these victories have come in Grade OR events, thus he will be chasing a hat-trick in this class today.
In his most recent race, the black dog performed extremely well and finished on top of the table by almost one length. Despite not being rated as favourite, he was brisk at the start and did not allow anyone else to take the lead until the end.
Vedfield Solid’s speed is exceptional and he also has the stamina to build on his quick starts. He is the son of
Droopys Scolari out of Wise Susie and was born in May 2010. He is the youngest of all participants taking part in the race today.
On the other hand, the bookies have shown some confidence in the abilities of Silverview Pinky as well. She has got some useful experience and has the tools to match the best in the business in this class.
The C. Lister’s trainee managed to win a couple of races out of her previous three attempts in this class. She was rated as favourite in her most recent outing and lived up to the expectations of everyone, winning comfortably by one and a half length.
Silverview Pinky is the daughter of Head Bound out of Owens Rover and was born in January 2010. She seems to be the only one, who can cause a few problems for Vedfield Solid in the race.
