Corluka has shed light on Modric’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur as he has revealed that the midfielder has been trying to impress in the European Championships for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879. The Tottenham defender also admitted that he will
be looking to move away from Spurs in the near future...
Corluka has come out and revealed that Luka Modric might not stay at Tottenham for long and the Croatian midfielder might be on his way out of the White Hart Lane stadium this summer after Harry Redknapp’s departure from the club.
Tottenham recently parted ways with Harry Redknapp as they dismissed him from his role as the club’s manager.
In this uncertain situation at Spurs, Corluka has made it clear that Modric is intent on playing UEFA Champions League football and he will be looking for a club which can offer him the attraction of European football on a regular
basis. In the last summer transfer window, Modric almost left Spurs to join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Levy who blocked his move. Corluka himself has been away on loan to Bayer Leverkusen and spent the previous season with the Bundesliga giants but he has also
admitted that he will be leaving Spurs due to his need to play regular first team football.
At the moment, Tottenham are without a first team manager but talks are being held with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 will part ways with Tottenham in
the summer transfer window as both the stars are intent on proving themselves in the UEFA Champions League.
Corluka shed light on the situation as he said, "We all know it will be very difficult for Spurs to keep Luka because they do not have Champions League football next season. Luka is one of the best players in the world and the
kind who wants to play in the best competition. Not getting into the Champions League will cost Spurs next season. Even though they were unlucky to get fourth place and still not be there.”
It will be interesting to see what happens at Tottenham now as they were in the previous concluded season title contenders at one point but in the end they even failed to make it into the UEFA Champions League competition, a failure
that became the main cause of Redknapp’s dismissal.
