Vee-Arnis Jutsu/Sanuces Ryu Jujutsu: What are your thoughts?

I'm looking for input from experienced martial artists. What are your impressions of VAJ, which I believe is headed by David James, and Sanuces, founded by Moses Powell and currently headed (I think) by Darrell King? Effective or no? What do you think of their instructors? BTW, pugpaws2, if you're out there, I'm eagerly awaiting your input on previous martial arts question. Finding a good school in my area is like navigating through a mine field!

  1. I'm surprised with all of the 'knowledge' here that none have already answered this question.

David James was taught by Master Visitacion himself, the founder of said school.

Filipino Martial Artist train for real (I call it old school), meaning when Instructor David was trained he was a punching bag by the Master. All locks and hits are done with out hesitation but enough not to horribly injure (like broken bones or concussions).

If i were you i would try it, It is the only way to know if it is the right fit for you. It is not for everyone. But I recommend him for he is well known in the FMA community and his Organization is highly respected. Nobody can say differently. I would go myself if i had a chance.
